Decent Vietnamese place at Yonge and St Clair. I find the Pho okay, but I do like the Vermicelli. Owner is always very friendly and the service very quick for take-out.

More of a 2.5 considering the area it's in where everything is generally mediocre in taste and slightly higher in price. Good for a decent quick lunch spot but I don't see myself actively returning.
Food (2/5): lets start positive, I ordered a salad with grilled chicken, the salad was really fresh and they added fried onions, which were really good. That being said, the salad only consisted of cabbage and fried onions. No cucumbers, no carrots, nothing. The flavour of the chicken was okay (could've been more flavourful) but the chicken itself was over cooked and a little bit hard.
Price (2/5): the price ($7) would've been good if the salad included anything besides just cabbage. There also wasn't that much chicken on the plate. Overall though, for the area, not a bad price for lunch.
Service (3.5/5): the service was very efficient without being rude, which is great for grabbing lunch during work.
Ambiance (2.5/5): not the fanciest but it's clean. It's also a lot bigger inside than expected, walk to the back for more tables! -

The Sprout is one of my go-to places in the Yonge and St. Clair area for a quick and convenient lunch close to the office, particularly when I'm craving comfort food that is sort of like home-cooking. Note that this restaurant is geared towards the lunch crowd, and is only open from 11am to around 5pm, and closed on weekends. Other restaurants in the area are similarly only open in the daytime.
I've had positive experiences with both dine-in and take-out at The Sprout: the owner is very friendly and lively, the food is served quickly (about 5 minutes), and the food is delicious. I always get the grilled pork chop, either on rice or vermicelli. The pork is really flavourful and tender, and I put the Vietnamese fish sauce on everything else (rice and salad). I have yet to try their famous "Oh My Goodness" soup, but have heard good things about it.
For the dine-in option, it's best for a quick and casual lunch, and not for large groups/parties. The restaurant has limited seating, with a long row of tables in a narrow aisle-way, and a few larger tables at the back of the restaurant. -

Good for a quick lunch spot buy the portions are quite small when you do take out. I ordered vermicelli and was able to eat all the noodles in two bites! The price is average but the vermicelli is missing key ingredients like cucumbers, friend spring roll, carrots and peanuts (most places have that). They only include bean sprouts, meat, and lettuce.

Came here on a cold day for lunch and it was quite satisfying! A bit on the pricier side but understandable due to the location. You order at the front and then sit down to wait for your meal (~5 min wait). I got the Pho with rare beef, brisket and chicken. So filling, the portion was decent but there was a lot of rice noodles so I couldn't finish. Would come back since it's so close to work!
